About Balance Volleyball

Balance volleyball is a new girls volleyball club established in 2014.  This club practices in Cary, Illinois and competes in tournaments all over the midwest region.  Owner Patty Langanis has over 20 years of coaching and playing experience. Feel free to contact us with if you have interest in joining or coaching!

The concept of the club is unique from any other club in the Illinois area.  What makes us unique?  It is the concept of allowing the elite volleyball player an off season.   Most elite volleyball players are playing year around, with an average 3 to 4 week break.  Through the years, we have noticed an increase in  overuse injuries, burn-out and a diminished level of motivation.  By offering a structured off season, the elite volleyball player can now play another sport, begin an off season weight lifting program to gain strength or just a take a break to enjoy other aspects of their life.  During the off season, there will be a once a week structured open gyms and  2 days/ week weight room training  offered to each athlete to assist them in maintaining, fine tuning and/or learning new skills without the stress of preparing for competition.

This season, during the winter, there will 2x/week speed and agility training with Marcus Thimios of MT Performance in Crystal Lake, IL.  2x/week of specialty training with a Master coach. The areas of specialty training are SETTING, OUTSIDE ATTACKING, MIDDLE BLOCKING and 1 ST CONTACT.

A full 3x a week practice and playing schedule will begin the 2nd week in February, with the teams traveling to major national recruiting events throughout the months of March, April, May, June with the pursuit of attending AAU National Championships.
